Oolong Tea

Oolongs are semi-oxidised teas, meaning that the time spent withering, rolling and oxidising is much shorter than in black tea production. Originating in China’s Fujian province, Chinese tea professionals refer to Oolong Tea as ‘Blue-Green Tea’ because of the intriguing colour of the leaf. The production of authentic oolongs dates back to the end of the Ming dynasty and is restricted to a few regions of China and Taiwan where artisan production techniques are still used.
